I am writing to you today with important news about the future of Goldmaster IT.

After more than five years of serving individuals and businesses across West Northants, I have made the difficult decision to relocate Goldmaster IT’s operations to the Gold Coast, near Brisbane, Australia. The business will continue there under the new name Mountain AV.

This decision has not been taken lightly. In fact, it is one of the hardest choices I have ever had to make. Goldmaster IT was founded here, and this community has been the heart of our business from day one. The trust you have placed in us has been the foundation of everything we have built.

For the past several years, I explored every possible avenue to expand and grow Goldmaster IT right here in Northants. We tried acquiring a local IT business, ran targeted local marketing campaigns, and worked tirelessly to build lasting relationships with our clients. Despite these good-faith efforts, the local market has proved too volatile and unpredictable to sustain the kind of stable, long-term growth needed to continue serving you at the level you deserve.

Ultimately, I reached the point where I had to make a responsible, forward-looking decision. Rather than continue investing in a direction that wasn’t working, falling into what is known as “sunk cost fallacy”, I chose to take a step back, assess the bigger picture, and ask: “What is the smartest, most sustainable path forward for this business and the people who depend on it?”

The answer, after years of reflection, was to begin a new chapter on the Gold Coast, where there is a growing demand for reliable IT and creative services, and a genuine opportunity to build something lasting.

What this means for you

No new jobs will be accepted or taken on after the 7th of september.

Goldmaster IT will continue to operate as normal, and all current jobs and support agreements will be honoured without interruption up to the end of September 2026.

After this date, Goldmaster IT will close its Northants operations, and the business will transition fully to Mountain AV.

I want to be clear: this is not an ending. It is a new chapter. We hope to carry the same values of reliability, quality, and care that we have built here into Mountain AV.

For clients who have remote access support enabled (via Mesh Central), this tool can be uninstalled remotely at your request with no questions asked. Every reasonable effort will be made to continue providing remote support from Australia where possible. However, due to the significant time zone difference and distance, this may not always be feasible.

For all clients, a request can be made at any time to have your details (including email, text conversations, and contact information) permanently deleted from storage systems. To initiate this, please get in touch directly.
